Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our busy Surgical Ophthalmology Clinic, overseeing operations across three locations. Reporting to the Medical Director, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, and a passion for delivering top-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of a large multi specialty center ophthalmology clinic, including a surgical center.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling of surgeries and appointments.
  • Oversee patient flow and optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve clinic facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain marketing and website requirements.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage clinic staff, including nurses, team leads, technicians, and administrative personnel (front desk, call center) .
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching for staff development.

Patient Care:

  • Ensure the highest standard of patient care and satisfaction.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to uphold clinical excellence.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the clinic’s budget.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies.
  • Oversee billing and revenue cycle management.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.

Quality Improvement:

  • Spearhead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor clinical processes and implement best practices.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication within the clinic and with other departments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to achieve clinical goals.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years experience is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a healthcare or ophthalmology clinic setting.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and terminology.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in clinic management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
